- Kurt Kotler or known as Obersturmfuhrer (Lieutenant) is A minor Holocaust Villain and a German Nazi SS Officer in the Schutzstaffel (SS) that carries the rank of Lieutenant (in the SS). Two of his infamous scenes are when he told the Kommandant's wife that, "They smell even worse when they burn, don't they?" and when he beat up Pavel when he spilt his wine on the table. Gretel (Bruno’s Older Sister) seems to fancy him because she is seen flirting with him. He seems to be the stereotypical SS member, shouting and beating the Jewish worker Pavel. When at dinner with the Commandant and his family, he reveals that his father taught Literature in Germany and fled to Switzerland four years ago around before World War 2 which leads to suspicion from Ralf the Kommandant and his father . Ralf and his father (Bruno’s Grandfather) then both agreed that Kurt Kotler’s father either disagreed with the Nazi Government Policy or took a dislike of the Nazi Party lead by Adolf Hitler making antisemitic speeches or was coward . Kotler is a German SS-Obersturmfuhrer (Lieutenant) in the SS-Totenkopfverbande”SS-TV/Death Head Unit”. Kotler is a very evil ruthless and Cruel/Horrible German Nazi Officer in the German SS-TV”SS-Deaths Head Unit” of the Allgemine-SS (General-SS) . It is unknown whether he was killed after he went to fight on the Eastern Front of World War 2 to command a Waffen-SS Battalion .
